This year marks the 87th year for Virginia's Historic Garden Week, starting April 18-25 in various homes and gardens across the Commonwealth. Five of Old Town Alexandria's private homes and gardens will be part of the easy walking tour which will be on Saturday, April 18. It will feature beautiful flower arrangements created by the members of the Hunting Creek Garden Club and the Garden Club of Alexandria. The tour will also include two Garden Club of Virginia restoration projects: George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens and Green Spring Gardens.
The tour tickets are $40 per person and may be purchased in advance at www.vagardenweek.org or at the Alexandria Visitor Center, 221 King Street. The tour will begin from 10 am to 4 pm.
